As one of the major shipbuilding centers of Ukraine, Nikolaev hosts the only shipbuilding museum in the country. This Russian Classical building was once the seat of the long line of Black Sea Fleet commanders from 1794 to 1900.

The museum features nearly 3000 exhibits that allow its visitors a peak on Ukraine’s rich and storied shipbuilding and maritime history. It shows that Ukrainians understand the importance of history which paved the way in making the city into what it is today. • Inhul River Park

If you want to experience the natural wonders of Nikolaev, Inhul River Park is certainly the place to be. This nature reserve park is rich in beautiful limestone, clay and sand formations which will surely amuse anyone who will get to see it.

Apart from its picturesque landscape, Ihul River Park also boasts over 600 species of plants. Part of the purpose of why it was declared as a nature reserve is to help preserve and protect the area’s rich flora and fauna.
